{"id":627,"date":"2009-08-20T15:49:29","date_gmt":"2009-08-20T22:49:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.landspeople.net\/abi\/?p=627"},"modified":"2009-08-20T15:49:30","modified_gmt":"2009-08-20T22:49:30","slug":"my-baby-is-going-to-be-a-terror","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.landspeople.net\/abi\/?p=627","title":{"rendered":"My baby is going to be a terror!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We had a childproofing audit today. \u00c2\u00a0The person said that there is a real difference in how toddlers act. \u00c2\u00a0She&#8217;s had one client who did not need to babyproof for her first two kids, for example. \u00c2\u00a0Others have very active toddlers. \u00c2\u00a0She thinks that parents can tell pretty early what kind of baby they have.<\/p>\n<p>Well, based on today alone, I think I will have a little terror. \u00c2\u00a0Why? \u00c2\u00a0Well, here is what my 5 month 4 day old baby did today:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Several times, crawl backwards about half a foot. \u00c2\u00a0(Have I mentioned that she is just 5 months old?) \u00c2\u00a0She is now crawling backwards in a straight line.<\/li>\n<li>While sitting on my lap, several times she pulled herself to standing by holding on to my shirt (I did not help her up at all.)<\/li>\n<li>I was holding her while drinking a glass of water. \u00c2\u00a0She almost knocked the glass out of my hand.<\/li>\n<li>I was holding her while giving someone my credit card (buying her a toy that was on sale). \u00c2\u00a0She did knock the credit card out of my hand.<\/li>\n<li>Daddy was laying on his back, and she was sitting on his stomach, holding each of his hands in each of her hands. \u00c2\u00a0She tried to stand up, and wound up rotating so that her legs were in the air. \u00c2\u00a0I am not quite sure I understand how this happened, but it sounds scary.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>So, dear audience, my money is on &#8220;terror&#8221;.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We had a childproofing audit today. \u00c2\u00a0The person said that there is a real difference in how toddlers act. \u00c2\u00a0She&#8217;s had one client who did not need to babyproof for her first two kids, for example. \u00c2\u00a0Others have very active toddlers. \u00c2\u00a0She thinks that parents can tell pretty early what kind of baby they have.
